Your donation directly supports the therapeutic benefits of equine-assisted activities for individuals in need. Here’s why your support matters:

• Rising Costs: The expense to provide equine-assisted activities continues to grow. Your donation helps us maintain and expand our programs.

• Lack of Insurance Coverage: Insurance does not cover equine-assisted activities, including adaptive riding and our Horses & Heroes programs.

• No Federal or State Funding: Strides does not receive federal or state funding for the Horses & Heroes program.

• Therapeutic Benefits:

  • For Adaptive Riding Clients: Improved strength, balance, mobility, and coordination; enhanced self-esteem, self-control, and self-confidence; and development of peer interaction and social skills in a unique classroom setting.

  • For Horses & Heroes Clients: Regaining self-esteem, learning healthy communication styles, reducing anxiety, and developing strategies to adapt and overcome stressors.​

 

Our Commitment
We are dedicated to making our programs accessible and affordable for everyone who wishes to participate.

• Adaptive Riding: We provide lessons at approximately 77% of the actual cost to ensure affordability.

• Veterans and First Responders: We offer 100% sponsorship as a token of gratitude for their service.

• Ensure full sponsorship for veterans and first responders.
